Radio-protective effect of lactic-acid products containing specific Lactobacillus Bulgaricus strains

Ionizing radiation is largely used in technology, medicine, and nuclear power production. As a result, there is an increased probability for radiation-induced diseases to occur, including those due to radiation therapy of malignancies. The Chernobyl nuclear disaster has shown that the concept of chemical protection is inapplicable to cases involving long-term exposure to low or medium doses of ionizing radiation.
